if youve only just learned what type of scope you have, then you have so much more to learn. That scope will do you for years. Its very tempting to buy a scope and in a year or so buy a bigger and better one. to save yourself money in the long run id advise you to learn as much as possible from the scope you have before upgrading. That scope has enough scope ( pardon the pun!, is that even a pun?) to keep teaching you things for many years.

Every time i get apature fever i just remember that im not near using my current 6" to its full potential and that if i learn to use this one properly, imagine how much more useful a bigger one will be when i finally get it.

No race car driver learned to drive in a formula 1 car, they all started off in a small regular car like everyone else and moved up through the various levels such as formula kart racing, formula ford, formula 2000, until finally they became particularly good and warranted being allowed drive an F1 car ( i know its a silly analogy but it illustrates my point).

One step at a time my friend.

My scope is long and black and weighs about the same as a small sheep................that's all i know about mine.

I've seen the moon (kinda hard to miss unless your name is Tony), M42 and Mars (badly).

Think i have a few more yrs yet of getting to know my scope.

My next scope is going to be a Vixen VMC200L Catadioptric OTA

Upgrading from an 8" to a 9.25" ?? a waste of time if you ask me.
If you're going to upgrade make it a decent jump in aperture.
