Tonight's Moon... was created by michaeloconnell


Just before going to the TAS talk this evening, I took a few quick shots of the moon. Above is a mosaic of three images. Other than joining the raw images together and reducing the file sizes (literally 2mins work), I've done absolutely no other processing yet. Hopefully, I'll get a chance tomorrow night to tweak it.

Hi, here is my pencil drawing of the Moon on the same evening December 6. I have tried to identify some craters and features; I am using Collins How to ID NIGHT SKY. The thing is there are lots of craters and each phase shows up some better that others, what is the best way to be sure that you are recognizing and naming them correctly?
