Just had a look, interesting. If I could offer a guess?
Seeing as we are looking at the Moon, then the dark shape could with, great certainty, be seen as a sihlouette. Seeing as it is travelling slowly, thus discounting any near Earth orbiting satellites (that we know of), what about space rock? If it was large enough, and far away (when set against the Moon), it could produce a phenomena like this. Considering that every year, many pieces of NEO's are found AFTER that have passed is not surprising, with some discovered by amateurs.
With this object, I know there is no set linear path, but, who said everything has to follow a straight line?
Failing that, yes, it could be a UFO scout.
Seanie.

So have you done the math on how large and where an object would have to be in order for the silhouette to appear like that?

In case you don't yet have the file open, he lists the camera as a "Unibrain Fire-I Board 640x480 B&W"

do you have any details of the type of camera that was attached to the 8” telescope by this person.

Here is another black object video over the Lunar surface from another Italian amateur astronomer. This was independently taken. See link
www.makina.it/SAA/UFO-DATA-V01.zip
There is alot more info on data, images and clips.
If it was a geocentric satellite it would have to be a 1km across to create shadow. Dates may correlate with NMA (Near Moon Asteroid), if there is such an object. I haven't had time to check (NEO) near Earth objects within the vicinity from MPC.
I'm offline for at least a day.
