A quick question, do they charge for looking through their scopes at this.
I've heard that on occasions they do, I'm just curious...

I thought they asked for "donations" at these things? I was at an event at John Nooney's observatory in Mullingar in 2003 and an A.I. rep arrived late in the evening expecting John to have charged €2 from everyone there. We were not happy at all about that ... especially when the rep breezed in after I had driven from Dublin with a couple of others to help out on the night and the rep hadn't done a tap.

And another thing, A.I. can't be bothered replying to any of my repeated requests to advertise an SDAS event so I can't really see why I should support them. Another SDAS member has similarly been treated discourteously.

The bottom line as far as I can see is that A.I. have no interest in supporting other clubs (that don't toe their mantra).

John

Guys, Carl is just telling people about a free event. Thats all. No need to go down 'that road' again. It's all been said.
