Congratulations Deirdre. It is a well deserved award.
I voted by email after the deadline so it wasn't counted (normal delivery cycle for me, my boss would say) but I did vote for you. Honest!!!

I think that not only is the IAS so lucky to have you popularising and initiating all these outreach activities, but the Irish astronomy community has embraced so much of your endeavours that we are all proud of you.

Deirdre - anyone who does public outreach to the extent that you do (and for charity) and shares their beautiful sketches of the night sky richly deserves this accolade.
However... what topped it for me was your scale model of Sputnik with attendant sound recording - top drawer.
