I thought I saw something small like that also,
it may have been a bit of the tank breaking off?
Pure speculation of course! :P

As for the third object you saw, there is nothing in starrynight for it.

The view last night is up there with a solar eclipse in the list of amazing and rare things to see, it aint over yet as this is only the start of whats going to be a series of excellent passes, the ISS is passing tonight at 10.30 with the shuttle at 11.00.

OK. Lets keep an eye out for them so...
Obviously they will not be as bright and fast but still..
should look great.

The ISS over Cherrymount Waterford Ireland, on the 15th of July, 2009. 17 mins after the pass of STS127.

For any of you that didn't see the launch, here it is in HD



I was out in my back yard and I could hear the neighbours two doors up saying "Come out quick, this look amazing!!!" :) I had also given all the launch info to two of my work mates and they were out with their kids who commented that seeing something like that would make him want to take up astronomy... pity there are only a few launches left for the shuttle :(
