Yeah, wonder if there's a cd with every issue, the skyguide to the month i.e June's highlights is very well narrated, plus all the extra content, April's Sky at Night programme, photo gallery, free sofware etc.

I'd agree with you Micheal, It's a bit pricey, but you pay for what you get, as I said earlier, I wonder if they'll keep this quality up, or is it a marathon effort with the first issue to grab a market share. I'll buy the next few issues and see what happens....excellent so far though :D

whats on the CD ???
Is it all freeware you can get off the web anyway?

The mag does look very expensive, would you say its aimed at complete starters or someone who is doing this for a few years???

Dave, the CD contains:-

A virtual planetarium for the month of June
Full TV Episode of Aprils Sky at Night
A Titan decent video - sound and pictures put together
Telescope updates for both Celestron & Meade hand controllers
Reader Photos - not enough room in the mag!
Astronomy society listings
Free software you'd probably get from the web, especially one called 'hotpixels' for digital shots

The magazine is aimed at both really, but if you were a complete beginner, I've never seen astronomy presented better, the detail and effort is amazing
Worth the price methinks  Go get it!

Are there any of the regular names we know from the likes of Astronomy Now etc involved? Not that would make a difference, I'm just curious...

Is the CD jus for Windows heads or is the content in some crossplatform format?

If not cross platform does it at least have stuff for the Mac?
