Hey! I have the photograph of the tents! Anthony Pharmakopoulos just e-mailed me these photos. Thanx Anthony
The giant tent to the left is mine! John's is the blue one. Kyriakee is happily posing!
Aris Milonas telling the story of the construction of his 16" ATM to Dimitris Baxevanakis. To the left (background), John Murphy is talking with John Marmarinos, and to the right, in the green T-shirt, galaxy- buster Dimitris Kapetanakis is collimating the 8" Orion Europa scope that eats 14 mag galaxies for breakfast.
At Kastanitsa, a village 1/2 hr from Parnon Obs. Site.

From looking at the terrain, it seems to fulfill my usual rules when I select a holiday location,
it cannot be colder then here,
it must not rain more then a few mm a month
it must not be cloudy
basically, I need to move to the Canary islands.
hard to believe its only a few weeks away.

You and me both (not the same house of course).
My mother is toying with the idea of a retirement villa in Lanzarote. Guess who gets to own it when she departs this world?

My next scope is going to be a Vixen VMC200L Catadioptric OTA

Spot the Irish guy.....LOL.
I cant believe that view of the Milky Way.
SPECTACULAR.
As Frank said.................."that image alone is reason enough to go to Greece".
