I've 55,000 air miles to cash-in so I'm up for it - provided Air France or KLM have a flight out of Dublin.

€350 return from Ireland to Greece is a bargain.
There is a reason why the stars all have Greek or Arabic names..............
because the Greeks and Arabs could see them. Imagine what kinda names they would have if the Irish could see them back then!!!
Canis Minor would be Madra beag
Canis Major would be Madra Mór
Help me out here people.

Sorry just one question. On the night of the lunar eclipse there was a triangilation of the moon and two other celestial bodies. Besides the moon, one of the other two was Saturn. Can anyone tell me the third celestial body involved?
I know you can make a triangle out of ANY 3 celestial bodies but this one was mentioned on astronomy sites.
Here's a pic he sent me. He is wondering what the star above the moon is. I think the pic was taken about 9pm EST.

I believe Regulus was in the picture when I got a break in cloud after 3am.

John you are so right. Indeed it was Regulus. I had a feeling it was so when you said it just now..............it rang a bell in my mind. Thats good enough for me.
Cheers.
