Lidl LXD75 telescope help thread

Hey all!!

Just got the Lxd75 in lidl in finglass and its faulty . The R.A motor wont move at all, just gives an motor error on the autostar. The rest of the scope is grand.

Called the lidl customer service and they said there agent for the product will call me back.

To be fair they offered me a full refund but i want the scope, not the money so i'll see what they say.

Do you think it better to go through them or call meade directly?

This is getting rediculous !! looks like nearly EVERYONE here who got one has a broken RA drive !

I phoned Lidl customer services this morning and they told me they had "no complaints" so far about the scopes. They told me to wait for a reply from Meade. PD

Maybe someone should email a link to this thread to Meade & Lidl?- especially Meade- it's going to hurt their brand here.

Meade Customer service rep in the UK knew about the problem on Friday.
Number speak for themselves.
8 purchased by people on these boards and only 1 working.
To me it shows the benifit of such a board.

I doubt that the've had no complaints, just saving face. I emailed meade aswell at service@meade.de, awaiting reply.

The number in lidl i rang was 1800 347 447 for there customer service. Everyone who has a problem with theres should ring this number just to ensure lidl know how many are faulty.

With enough complaints meade might even ship them a new batch.

BTW what was the u.k meade service number that people are ringing?
