Celestron Dealers was created by phoenix
I was on UKAI today and I noticed a post from Adam Hinds (Celestron UK). His signature claims they are dealers for nothern Europe which includes Ireland in his sig. So no more middle man?

surely Hinds is a middle man?
As it happens, I was in Dublin yesterday and noticed a van offloading a load of Celestron gear to Conn's Cameras...
I guess it can only be good news for the consumer if it helps competition amongst the various suppliers.
Now all we need is an RCOS dealer...

Dave, Start a franchise and get one for free  . I was thinking more about a past post related to Celestron trade between NI & ROI and dealerships. But I guess this is null and void since Hinds UK (Celestron UK)
now supplies all of us at a Euro price?

I think you mean distributor Kieran. Hinds is the main euro distributor, with dealer networks in each country. I don;t think hinds will supply anyone (retail) outside the UK.

I tried last week to buy a celestron eyeopener kit from this company. They would not ship to Ireland. I asked them if they would ship to a UK address (my aunt)....................they said YES but they would not accept an Irish Visa number with a billing address in Ireland.
That really annoyed me.
I will NOT be using this company at any time in the future.
I found the link to the site HERE in the links section. I would suggest it be removed. Even though they were very friendly in all the emails sent back and forth between us..........................they basically are a dead end if you are ordering from Ireland.
