Hi PJ
Why not try Conns Cameras? I was in there during the week buying the Canon 40D and saw the Celestron Nexstar 8 on sale at E1399, it sold whilst I was in the store. Astronomy Ireland are selling at E1899. Long live competition!

That really annoyed me.

I will NOT be using this company at any time in the future.''

Try them for eyepieces, I understand they have stock.

Regards
Ed

Just looked up Conns cameras website. They seem to do the full celestron range including accessories, eyepieces.
Don't know anything about them really.

If I was buying in Ireland (which I don't ,all from US/astromart), I'd certainly give Conns Cameras a serious look at. i know people who've bought equipment there with no hassle.

Hi All,

Just thought this needs clearing up.

Astronomy Ireland are now the distributor of Celestron in Ireland as well as selling direct to the public.

Conns are now supplied by Astronomy Ireland. AI hopes to open some more dealerships around the country just like Conns.

Any shops wanna be a celestron dealer, just call me!!

If you want anything Celestron, you can also go to the official Celestron dealer Andy at North Down Telescopes.
I ordered my telescope off him and it came 2 days after I ordered, even before the cheque cleared. Free delivery to anywhere in Northern Ireland, courier fee for the Republic. Normal cataloged price. He often has good deals going as well.
He is also the dealer for Meade, Orion and other big companies. He also replied to my email enquiry about telescopes very quickly and gave me a lot of advice. Astronomy Ireland didn't reply to me at all, yet signed me up to their mailing list and I keep getting spam.
